Flight To Haiti


This is a unique view from the cockpit of a relief plane from Agape Flights, out of Sarasota, to Port au Prince, Haiti, following the January earthquake there (see HAITI).

I flew to Haiti as co-pilot (in a smaller plane) with Agape Flights in July, 1983. The approach to the airport was the same as shown here. However, in 1983, the many planes and supplies (and tents) you see in this video were not there! They were blessed that the only runway wasn’t disabled by the hurricane!
